Program Functionality

Q: I have a person emailing me a check.  How do I know that I won't get scammed or that they are legit?
A: Because of scammers and the misuse of the emailing portion of InstiCheck, we have disabled this feature from the software as of 11/13/2007.

Q: When I go into my account or when I view or print a check, all the MICR characters that are suppose to appear on the check are all messed up.  What can I do to fix this?
A: After installing InstiCheck and going into the Account screen, you find that the MICR characters are not displaying correctly.  Your problem is probably due to the fact that your MICR font did not install correctly.  To view a screen shot on how the MICR characters are suppose to look click here.
Resolution:
1)  After installing the software, reboot your pc and try again.
2)  If number 1 doesn't work then you must try this.  Close InstiCheck  - Go into your Windows Explorer - then go to your fonts directory (windows/fonts) - Find the font called MICR LS - Click on the font so that it is highlighted - Go to your Edit menu and select copy - Go to your InstiCheck folder or any folder of your choice and Click on the Edit menu and select Paste (you have just copied the font to another folder) - Now go back to your fonts directory and select MICR LS and hit your delete button (this will delete the font).  If for some reason it will not let you delete the font then you will need to reboot your pc and try this step again - Once you delete the font you need to reinstall it - From the windows/fonts folder or from the Control Panel/Fonts click on File and then Install New Font.  Go to the folder where you saved the font earlier.  From the List of Fonts box, select MICR LS and click OK (this should install the font).  Go back into the Account screen and see if this corrected the problem.  If not, then contact us for support.

Q: I can't get my memo line to print on the check.  What is wrong?
A: When you print or view a check you can't see the memo line on the check.  The reason is you probably don't know have the latest update of our print module.
Resolution:
1)  Download the print module to your pc.  Then goto InstiCheck and click on the Tools/Module Settings menu.  From the Module Setup screen click on the <Install Module> button.  Select the print module you just downloaded.  The updated print module should now be installed.  Make sure you have the same print module selected in the Print Module drop down box.
